¡Vivan los niños!

"Vivan los niños!" is a delightful Mexican telenovela aimed at children that graced television screens in 2002, consisting of 155 episodes which concluded in 2003. The show's catchy opening theme was sung by the Latin pop group OV7, and one of its closing themes, also titled "Vivan los niños," was performed by Cuban-American artist Ana Cristina. Drawing inspiration from the Argentinian telenovela "Jacinta Pichimahuida: la maestra que no se olvida," this heartwarming series follows the story of Lupita Gómez, a dedicated 2nd grade teacher portrayed by Andrea Legarreta. Following the show's success, Legarreta continued her career in entertainment as the host of the popular morning talk show "Hoy." In commemoration of Andrea's birthday on July 12, 2012, the producers of "Hoy" reunited her with the talented young actors who played her students in this cherished series.
