In the tumultuous post-WWII era, Germany is divided into its Eastern and Western halves, with each side viewing the other as an enemy in their ongoing ideological conflict. Amidst this tense landscape, humanity faces an unexpected threat: the arrival of an extraterrestrial life form known as "Beta", which first landed on Kashgar, in China's Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region. Ten years after their initial appearance, East Germany, officially the German Democratic Republic, now stands at the forefront of this intergalactic battlefield. As political rivalries and ideological differences continue to drive wedges between the citizens of these two halves, they must set aside their differences and unite in the face of this unprecedented extraterrestrial threat.
