Run with the Wind

In the bustling cityscape of Tokyo, Kakeru once held a promising future as an elite high school runner. Circumstances lead him to steal food to survive, and he's pursued by authorities until a chance encounter with Haiji, a Kansei University student and fellow runner, saves his life. Haiji sees potential in Kakeru and convinces him to join the residents of the old apartment building "Chikuseisou" in their audacious pursuit: to form a team and compete in Hakone Ekiden Marathon, one of Japan's most prestigious university races. As Kakeru immerses himself into this newfound community, he quickly discovers that the majority of his fellow residents are complete novices to running - with Haiji being the sole exception. This revelation thrusts him into a role of mentorship and camaraderie as they all work towards a common goal, forging bonds through their shared passion and determination.
