El Hormiguero is a unique blend of comedy, science, and political discussion that has enthralled Spanish audiences since its inception in September 2006. Hosted and produced by screenwriter Pablo Motos, the show initially aired on Cuatro channel before making its home on Antena 3. This live program with an enthusiastic audience features regular guests such as Luis Piedrahita, Raquel Martos, Marron & "The Man in Black", and the charming puppet ants Trancas and Barrancas. The show's success has led to its expansion from a weekly, 120-minute slot to a daily 40-minute episode format beginning in its third season on September 17, 2007.
