The film revolves around two unlikely companions, Hiromi and Kaito, who find themselves stranded at a quaint beachside bed-and-breakfast. Following a series of unfortunate events that led to both being displaced from their city lives, they stumble upon the B&B owned by Masaru, a seasoned surfer, and his young granddaughter Makoto.Hiromi, having just been kicked out of his girlfriend's apartment, embraces the opportunity to work at the B&B over the summer, while Kaito, an elite employee from Tokyo, finds himself stranded without funds after losing his wallet. The duo initially share a room as they grapple with their unexpected circumstances and adjust to life in this tranquil coastal town.As the story unfolds, we witness Kaito's transformation from a rigid career-focused individual to someone who begins to question the value he places on his job.
