Are You Human?

Nam Shin, belonging to a family that heads a prominent company, finds himself in a life-altering situation when he suffers an unexpected accident which results in a coma. His mother, Oh Ro-Ra, who is a distinguished expert in the fields of brain science and artificial intelligence, decides to create a lifelike android, named Nam Shin III, as a replica of her son. The purpose of this synthetic human being is twofold: to serve as an operational stand-in for the comatose Nam Shin within the family business and to maintain an illusion of normalcy in the life that was suddenly disrupted by tragedy. As Nam Shin III assumes his role, he finds himself protected by a loyal bodyguard named So-Bong, who remains oblivious of the true nature of her ward, adding an element of intrigue and tension to this complex narrative. This film explores themes of identity, family dynamics, and the role technology plays in our lives through the captivating story of a family, their android substitute, and the devoted guardian who accompanies him.
