Vision Quest

Louden Swain is a high school wrestler who becomes disillusioned with the superficiality of his life and decides he needs to do something more meaningful. Determined to pursue a greater challenge, Louden resolves to lose weight and confront the area's undefeated wrestling champion. His choice, however, is met with resistance from his teammates, who are dismayed by his decision, and health concerns due to the rigorous demands of his new goal. To make matters worse, Louden's father invites an enigmatic female drifter into their home as she journeys toward San Francisco, adding a layer of personal complexity to an already tumultuous period in Louden's life. As he navigates the challenges before him, both inside and outside the ring, Louden must learn to balance ambition with the support and relationships that truly matter, ultimately discovering the value of perseverance and self-discovery on his journey towards self-improvement.
