In this high-octane road movie, two men embark on an exhilarating journey across the United States, traversing from one drag strip to another in a sleek 1955 Chevy Bel-Air coupe. Their primary motivation: winning money through bets with their competitive counterparts. As they navigate this adrenaline-fueled odyssey, an unanticipated passenger joins the ride - a chatty young woman who proves to be more than just a hitchhiker.However, the duo's focus is soon disrupted by a wealthy and attention-seeking drifter cruising in his brand new Pontiac GTO. This older man, eager for recognition, becomes an unwanted distraction as he intentionally antagonizes the pair. Their racing skills are tested not only on the track but also off it, as they must find ways to outmaneuver their newly acquired rival.
