In the vibrant city of Madrid, notorious swindler La Spada and his cunning accomplice José devise a daring plot upon their release from prison. They set out to create and sell a third version of the illustrious Goya painting, "Maya." To bring their plan to life, they recruit the esteemed art forger Scorcelletti, who resides in Rome and possesses an uncanny ability to imitate any artwork.With the help of the enigmatic and alluring Eva, La Spada's gang manages to persuade renowned art critic Francisco Montiel that a third Maya exists, leading him on an intriguing quest to uncover it. As the swindlers near the completion of their audacious scheme, Scorcelletti unexpectedly returns from Rome in possession of one of his six other forged Maya paintings - a twist that threatens to derail their meticulously laid plan and send them spiraling back into chaos.
