In this heartfelt drama, theatre actor Giuliano finds himself confronted with an emotional reunion when his long-lost childhood friend Tommasso unexpectedly visits him in Rome. The bittersweet encounter occurs as Giuliano faces a terminal illness diagnosis and decides against undergoing treatment. Instead, he focuses on settling his affairs, distributing possessions, reconciling past disputes, and most importantly, finding a suitable home for his loyal canine companion, Pato. Over the course of four eventful days in the city, Giuliano and Tommasso embark on a series of visits to bookshops, restaurants, veterinarians, and friends. Along their journey through Rome's vibrant streets, they delve into introspective discussions about their lives, past choices, and the uncertain future that awaits them. As the two men navigate these difficult conversations, they rediscover friendships, forgive personal transgressions, and ultimately find solace in the connections they have made throughout their lives.
