In this intriguing character study set against the backdrop of a journey, a group of individuals converge on a Parisian train to Limoges, each with their own unique relationship to the recently deceased artist Jean-Baptiste Emmerich. As they navigate the four-hour ride together, tensions and secrets begin to unravel. Among the passengers is art historian François, traveling alongside his lover Louis; an unexpected connection forms between Louis and Bruno as the train rumbles forward. Meanwhile, Thierry transports Jean-Baptiste's body in a station wagon, paralleling their journey.The ensuing discussions reveal Emmerich's magnetic charm that transcended both genders, sparking intense debates among those present. As Lucie insists she was his one true love, the complex nature of Emmerich's personal relationships comes to light. Joining them on this trip are Jean-Marie, the artist's nephew, and Claire, his estranged wife.
