In a small Arizona desert town, terror reigns as Packard Walsh and his ruthless motorized gang enforce their brutal law. Drivers are forced to participate in high-stakes drag races, where they risk losing not only their cars but sometimes even their lives. When decent teenager Jamie Hankins becomes another casualty of this violent world after crossing paths with Packard, a mysterious force intervenes and brings forth Jake Kesey - an effortlessly cool motorcycle rider.
