Leon Bronstein, a Montreal West high school student with an extraordinary background, believes himself to be the reincarnation of Soviet revolutionary Leon Trotsky. Despite his unique circumstances, he is sent to public school by his father as punishment for initiating a hunger strike at their family clothing factory. Rather than being daunted by this unexpected change in environment, Leon embraces it as an opportunity to fulfill his destiny and make a difference in the world. He becomes an active participant within the student union, bringing his passion for activism and dedication to social change into the school setting, all while navigating the challenges of adolescence and life at a typical public high school.
