The Secret Agent

Set against the backdrop of 1880s London, this gripping tale follows Verloc, a bookseller with a double life as an agent for the Russian government. Assigned to gather information on a sluggish anarchist group, he devises a plot that will bring about their arrest: staging an act of terrorism using bombs. However, his calculated moves lead to devastating consequences not only for himself but also for those closest to him, including his wife Winnie and her intellectually-challenged brother Stevie.
