The Producers

In this comedic tale, Broadway producer Max Bialystock and his meek accountant Leo Bloom devise an ingenious plan to generate massive profits without risking failure in the notoriously unpredictable world of theater. By intentionally assembling a production that they believe will be a disastrous flop - a tasteless musical celebrating Adolf Hitler - they aim to entice generous yet naïve elderly investors to fund the extravagant project many times over its actual cost. If the show does indeed flop, they will walk away with all of the investors' money while avoiding any returns, resulting in a foolproof scheme that seems too good to be true.
