Charlie and his mischievous cousin Paulie embark on an ambitious heist to secure $150,000 - a sum they believe is just enough to finance their dream of backing a racehorse with guaranteed success. As the plot unfolds, however, the consequences of their audacious act spiral out of control and thrust them into dangerous waters.
