The People vs. Fritz Bauer

In the thriving climate of post-war Germany during the late 1950s, the nation appears to have largely moved on from its harrowing past as it embraces the economic prosperity known as the 'Economic Miracle'. However, Public Prosecutor Fritz Bauer remains undeterred in his pursuit for justice against the atrocities committed during the Third Reich. When a letter from Argentina arrives with information that a young girl is possibly dating Eichmann's son, Bauer senses an opportunity amidst a judiciary system plagued by corruption and lingering Nazis. Realizing the gravity of his actions and defying the laws he swore to uphold, he embarks on a mission to Jerusalem to seek Mossad's assistance in capturing Eichmann. Despite the personal risk and potential consequences, Bauer is unwavering in his conviction that committing treason might just be the only way to serve his nation by confronting its dark past and bringing its perpetrators to justice.
