The Nanny

The film follows the story of Nanny, a caregiver who becomes the live-in maid for a family in London. She returns home a troubled ten-year-old boy named Joey from a psychiatric ward, where he had been placed after the tragic loss of his younger sister. Joey harbors deep fear and distrust, refusing to partake in any activity involving Nanny's assistance, such as eating or bathing. In addition, he insists on sleeping in a locked room, showcasing his heightened anxiety.Joey's parents, Bill and Virgie, are occupied with their demanding careers, while also struggling to understand Joey's erratic behavior. They remain convinced that their son is mentally disturbed but might not realize the true extent of the threat Joey perceives in Nanny. As the story unfolds, it becomes apparent that Joey may be right to fear his caregiver, setting the stage for a thrilling and suspenseful narrative.
