In an unexpected twist of fate, Jefferson Reed gains extraordinary abilities after being struck by a meteor fragment one fateful night. Endowed with flight but burdened with an irrational fear of heights, his life takes an unusual turn as he discovers the power to absorb and temporarily master any knowledge found within books.
