Music journalist Myles Clarkson finds himself in an unexpected situation as he interviews piano virtuoso Duncan Ely, who is battling a terminal illness. Their initial encounter doesn't leave much of an impression on either of them; however, when Myles, a frustrated pianist himself, catches Duncan's eye due to his ideally suited hands for the piano, their relationship takes an unforeseen turn.As Duncan becomes increasingly obsessed with Myles and his newfound passion for music, Myles' wife, Paula, grows increasingly suspicious of their friendship.
