The Judge and the Assassin

In the rural France of 1893, Joseph Bouvier's desperate act of shooting his love and himself after she rejected his marriage proposal lands him in a grimy asylum. Though his bullet-ridden brain survives, the torment within remains alive and festers as he is released back into society. Over years that follow, Bouvier becomes an unspeakable predator, preying on innocent teenagers and leaving a trail of terror across the countryside.It's the unyielding Judge Rousseau who finally manages to corner Bouvier. However, instead of seeking justice, his ambition propels him into an insidious plot: preventing the courts from declaring Bouvier insane, as doing so would rob Rousseau of the chance to make a name for himself by prosecuting this notorious killer. As the story unfolds, it raises questions about human nature, morality, and the blurred lines between sanity and ambition that will leave viewers on the edge of their seats.
