The Hitcher

In the midst of a tempestuous night's drive from Chicago to California, transporting a luxury car for its owner, Jim finds himself drowsy and yearning for company. As luck would have it, or perhaps not, a stranger suddenly appears alongside the road, seeking a lift. Hoping that engaging in conversation will keep him alert and awake, Jim reluctantly invites the mysterious hitchhiker aboard his vehicle. What transpires over the course of this journey is a far cry from what Jim could have ever anticipated, as the seemingly innocent decision to converse with an enigmatic stranger leads to a series of unsettling events that leave him regretting his impulsive choice and questioning the very nature of trust and human interaction.
