The Good Thief

In Galilee during Jesus' time, Caleb, a cunning thief and con-artist known as "son of nobody," ekes out a living by posing as a magician to deceive unsuspecting villagers. His world is turned upside down when he witnesses the miraculous act of turning water into wine at one of Jesus' gatherings, convinced that this newcomer threatens his livelihood. Fueled by envy and disbelief, Caleb embarks on a personal mission to expose Jesus as a fraud.As Caleb navigates through life, he becomes entangled with a prostitute (played by Edwige Fenech), while simultaneously attracting the ire of a Roman patrician's wife (Bernadette Lafont). His cunning nature leads him to steal from and conspire against those around him.
