In this emotional drama, Thomas, a talented young German baker, embarks on a complex journey when he becomes embroiled in the life of Anat, a newly widowed Israeli woman and the wife of his late lover, Oren. After Oren's untimely death in a car crash, Thomas travels to Jerusalem seeking answers and ends up assuming a new identity to get closer to Anat.
