In New York City, Thom is a struggling individual who resorts to working illegally as a taxi driver due to his lack of job opportunities. In stark contrast, Claire is a successful businesswoman, but her personal life is in utter disarray. When she receives the news that her estranged father is critically ill and hospitalized, she finds herself at a loss for how to proceed. Desperate and unsure what to do next, Claire climbs into Thom's taxi cab and instructs him to simply drive.
