Dev Kumar Verma, hailing from a middle-class family, harbors aspirations of becoming a musical sensation like Elvis Presley. However, his unwavering pursuit of this dream leads to the loss of his job, as he refuses to work unless it aligns with his passion. His parents and brother, Shiv Kumar, grow increasingly disappointed with Dev's choices. A turning point in his life emerges when Dev lands a gig at Charlie's Disco, where he encounters Maya, whom he falls deeply in love with. Rana, the owner of the competing disco establishment, becomes intrigued by Dev's talent and desires to recruit him into his fold. Despite this opportunity, Dev remains loyal to Charlie's Disco, which prompts a violent retaliation from Rana's men, resulting in Dev being unable to sing.
