Sound! Euphonium the Movie – Our Promise: A Brand New Day

In its second year, "Kumiko" follows the life of Kumiko, now a senior player in her school's euphonium section, as she navigates a new set of challenges presented by the arrival of underclassmen into their concert band. As the chosen leaders for these young musicians, Kumiko and her third-year trumpet companion Tomoe Kabe must not only adjust to their evolving roles but also find ways to connect with the diverse personalities that make up the new members. Among them are Kanade Hisaishi, whose outward appearance masks a surprising musical talent; the Suzuki sisters, Mirei and Satsuki, dealing with the challenges of adapting to a new environment; and introverted Motomu Tsukinaga, struggling to open up about himself.As the band prepares for the prestigious Sunrise Festival, chair placement auditions, and a looming competition, Kumiko must learn how to bring out the best in her team while also finding her own voice as a leader and an artist. Through the trials and tribulations of their journey, themes of self-discovery, teamwork, and personal growth are woven into this inspiring coming-of-age story set against the backdrop of the exhilarating world of competitive music.
