Shrew’s Nest

In post-Civil War Spain, Montse grapples with her agoraphobia as she raises her younger sister, Ana, in a gloomy Madrid apartment. The confined living quarters and isolation create an eerie atmosphere that permeates their lives. When the carefree Carlos stumbles into their sanctuary after a reckless fall, the fragile balance is disrupted, introducing an intruder to their secluded world. As Carlos lies helplessly within their walls, Montse's protective instincts clash with her fear of the outside world. The film delves into themes of sacrifice, fear, and human connection set against a backdrop of post-war Spanish society in the 1950s.
