In the not-so-distant future of 2028, OmniCorp stands as a powerful multinational corporation leading the charge in robotics technology. Their drones have been utilized by the military abroad for years, but they remain strictly prohibited within the United States for law enforcement purposes. Undeterred, OmniCorp dreams of introducing their cutting-edge technology to domestic security forces and sees an opportunity with Alex Murphy, a devoted family man and dedicated police officer in Detroit, whose life is irrevocably altered when he becomes critically injured on the job.
