Dan Brady, a young and seemingly ordinary auto mechanic, is entrapped in a web of deceit and criminality after stealing $20 from the garage's register to impress the enigmatic Vera Novak on their date. What begins as a minor act of dishonesty spirals out of control when the unexpected early arrival of the garage's bookkeeper forces Dan into a series of desperate attempts to hide his initial theft.The film takes the audience on an engaging journey as Dan, initially unacquainted with criminal activity, becomes increasingly entangled in a dangerous web of crime and manipulation.
