Nestled amidst the towering mountains and vast fields of corn and poppies lies a rural town where the everyday life of its inhabitants is far from ordinary. In this community, women are targeted for abduction, forced into slavery or rendered invisible by their captors. The girls in this tight-knit town defy convention by wearing boyish haircuts and building secret hideouts beneath the earth. At the heart of the story are Ana and her two closest friends, growing up together while navigating the precarious waters of adolescence and female identity against a backdrop of violence. Guided by their mothers who teach them evasive tactics to outmaneuver predators, these girls create their own impenetrable world to ensure their safety. However, one fateful day when time runs out for one of them to reach the sanctuary of their secret haven, the harsh reality of their existence threatens to shatter the delicate bonds that hold them together.
