Description:

Ki-taek's family has found themselves in a precarious financial situation as all of them are unemployed. In order to make ends meet, they begin observing and developing a peculiar interest in the wealthy Park family, who live in a luxurious house near their own. They devise a plan to insert themselves into the Parks' lives by creating job opportunities for themselves within the household, from being a tutor to a chauffeur. As they gradually get closer to their affluent neighbors, the family members start to enjoy their newfound lifestyle. However, an unexpected incident occurs that entangles them further in the Parks' life, forcing them to confront the moral implications of their actions and the true nature of class boundaries in contemporary society. The film delves into themes of social hierarchy, family dynamics, and human desire as it unfolds through a series of twists and turns.
