In this delightful comedy, Oliver, played by Stan Laurel, is overjoyed as he prepares to marry his beloved Dulcy, with best friend Stan, played by Oliver Hardy, standing by his side. However, their plans are met with an unexpected hitch when Dulcy's disapproving father refuses to give his blessing based on a misunderstanding involving a photograph of Oliver.Refusing to let the obstacle stand in their way, the couple hatches a daring plan to elope and make their union official. They set off to find a Justice of the Peace, but classic Laurel and Hardy mishaps ensue as they struggle to keep their secret wedding plans hidden from Dulcy's father.
