"Otto," a young and disoriented zombie, finds himself in the midst of a remote highway, carrying no memory of his past or destination. His journey leads him to Berlin, where he takes refuge in an abandoned amusement park. As Otto starts exploring the city, he is discovered by Medea Yarn, an underground filmmaker who becomes fascinated with his story and decides to document it. With the help of her girlfriend Hella Bent and her brother Adolf, Medea begins filming Otto's life while she also continues working on her long-overdue political-porno-zombie film "Up with Dead People."In the meantime, Otto gains shelter under Fritz Fritze, the star of Medea's movie, who allows him to stay in his guest bedroom. When Otto discovers a wallet containing information about his past life, before he was undead, memories begin to surface, specifically about his ex-boyfriend Rudolf. Driven by curiosity and longing, Otto arranges a meeting with Rudolf at the very schoolyard where they first met, leading to a powerful and emotional reunion that triggers a series of unexpected consequences. The film masterfully explores themes of identity, love, and self-discovery through the lens of an unusual protagonist. As Otto navigates his way through this new world, the movie delves into the complexities of relationships and personal growth in a darkly comedic yet touching manner.
