In a world facing imminent destruction from an encroaching flood, Dave and his son Finny, two accident-prone Nestrians, find themselves on the brink of disaster when they learn that their species isn't included in the massive Ark being constructed to save all animals. Determined not to let their family perish, the duo hatches a plan with Hazel and her daughter Leah, two resourceful Grymps. Despite their initial reluctance, the Grymps begrudgingly assist in sneaking Dave and Finny onto the Ark as it sets sail.However, when curious children Leah and Finny fall off the moving vessel, they are left to face the perilous floodwaters and hungry predators while desperately trying to reach the safety of a nearby mountain peak.
