One Eight Seven

Teacher Trevor Garfield, reeling from a traumatic stabbing incident by one of his students in New York, seeks a fresh start in Los Angeles as he takes up a new job as a substitute teacher. Despite the change of scenery, Garfield finds himself entrenched in an education system that mirrors his previous workplace in many ways: violent bullies rule classrooms with an iron fist while administration cower under the looming threat of lawsuits, resulting in an environment that's as much a battlefield for teachers as it is for students. As Garfield navigates this treacherous landscape, his sanity slowly begins to slip away, leaving us questioning whether a new beginning can truly bring about change or if some battles are simply too deep-rooted to escape.
