On the Occasion of Remembering the Turning Gate

In this captivating film, we follow aspiring actor Gyung-soo as he leaves his hometown of Seoul after facing disappointment and rejection. Upon visiting an old friend, he learns about a local legend called The Turning Gate, which supposedly has the power to foretell one's future. During his stay, Gyung-soo encounters Myung-sook, who finds herself falling deeply for him. After a night of passion, however, Gyung-soo must catch a train back to Seoul, and on board he meets a mysterious married woman claiming to know him well. As Gyung-soo begins to question his own feelings, he grapples with the possibility that perhaps he has chosen the wrong love interest, leading him through an intricate web of emotions and self-reflection.
