Twelve-year-old Oriko Seki's life changes drastically after a tragic car accident leaves her without parents. She finds solace in staying at her grandmother's traditional onsen ryokan, "Haru no Ya," which also happens to be home to a ghostly being called Uribou. Despite the challenges and peculiarities of living in this unique environment, Oriko is introduced to the world of innkeeping. Initially unenthusiastic about her training, she slowly develops admiration for her role and begins to take it seriously. This marks the start of young Oriko's transformative journey towards becoming a dedicated and skilled warrior.
