Plot:

In this old school action flick, the unyielding flow of swords and intense fight scenes will keep you at the edge of your seat from start to finish. Master Wu, played by Ko Keung from "Fatal Flying Guillotines," stands firm in his refusal to aid the king in continuing his war. When guards attempt to forcefully capture him, a fierce battle ensues; though he fails to save his brother, revenge becomes the driving force behind Master Wu's journey. Joined by David Chiang from "Slice Of Death" and "Challenge Of The Shaolin Masters," they embark on an adventurous quest filled with ninjas, a peculiar king with a gap-toothed smile, and countless sword-wielding adversaries. These obstacles serve as formidable challenges that test the limits of Master Wu's resolve and martial arts expertise as he pursues his vengeful mission.

What Makes "Night of the Assassins" Stand Out:

  • The intense fight scenes and swordplay are choreographed to perfection by one of Hong Kong's top action directors, Yuen Woo-ping, who would later work on 'The Matrix'.
  • Despite its old school action appeal, the film has a modern touch with elements of humor and intrigue.
  • The performances from Ko Keung and David Chiang are outstanding, delivering memorable characters in an engaging story.

Fun Facts:
