In this delightful comedy-drama, Fifth Avenue's socialite Irene Bullock finds herself in an unlikely alliance with the seemingly forgotten Godfrey Park when she needs him for a scavenger hunt. As the son of a wealthy family who has found himself living by the East River dump, Godfrey is an unconventional yet appealing choice for Irene. Soon, he becomes a part of Irene's zany family, much to the disdain of her self-absorbed sister Cornelia, who does everything in her power to get rid of him. As the story unfolds, it takes an unexpected turn when Godfrey and Irene fall for each other, setting off a chain of events where Godfrey teaches the Bullocks valuable life lessons about love, humility, and the true meaning of happiness.
