I’m really disappointed with this movie “Mountainhead”. The concept sounded interesting at first – a group of affluent friends dealing with global crises while being confined to their private retreat, but the execution was extremely underwhelming. The characters seem one-dimensional and it feels like they are just caricatures of the super-rich. There’s no depth or nuance to any of them, which makes it hard to care about their dilemmas. Plus, there are several plot holes that make the story feel disjointed and incomplete.
As for the acting, it was N/A because all the roles were yet to be cast. But given the poor script and lackluster direction, I’m not optimistic about the performances saving this film.
