Mondocane

In a dystopian vision of southern Italy, the city of Taranto is confined by an imposing barrier of barbed wire which keeps its inhabitants trapped within. This desolate setting has bred an environment where only the strong survive, as the police dare not intervene in the escalating gang wars that plague the streets. Against this bleak backdrop, two young orphans - bound by their shared hardships and dreams of escaping poverty - find themselves at a crossroads, yearning to join one of these notorious criminal groups. As they navigate the treacherous world around them, their bond is tested as each must confront the harsh realities of growing up amidst violence and desperation.
