Man of La Mancha

In the tumultuous 16th century, renowned poet and playwright Miguel de Cervantes finds himself in a precarious situation as he's arrested alongside his manservant, accused by the Spanish Inquisition for presenting an entertainment deemed objectionable. Their confinement within the massive dungeon introduces them to an unruly group of prisoners who, with hostile intentions, plan to either steal or destroy Cervantes' belongings.Desperate to protect a precious manuscript he carries, Cervantes hatches an ingenious scheme - he stages, complete with costumes and makeup, a unique defense using the story of Don Quixote.
