Love in First Class

In Milan, Carmelo reluctantly embarks on a journey southward with his son Malcolm due to the mother's much-needed vacation. As a man unfamiliar with fatherly duties and childcare, this trip presents numerous challenges for Carmelo. The train ride from Milan to Reggio Calabria is no exception, as they struggle to find a comfortable seating arrangement in the crowded second class section. When Malcolm finally goes missing on board, Carmelo's frustration reaches new heights. Desperate for space and willing to pay extra, he moves with Malcolm into the more spacious first class compartment. There, an intriguing interaction begins between Carmelo and Beatrice, a woman transporting a rare animal skeleton. As their train ride continues, bumpy obstacles arise; most notably when Carmelo considers leaving Malcolm behind at an intermediate stop in an act of exasperation. This heartwarming tale explores the unconventional dynamics between parents and children and the unexpected friendships that can develop during life's unexpected turns.
