Description:
"El Polaquito", a 13-year-old street kid in Buenos Aires, sustains himself through his remarkable talent for singing tangos on commuter trains, songs made famous by another man with a similar name - "El Polaco". His life takes an unexpected turn when he encounters a teenage prostitute working under the control of a Mafia group exploiting children in one of Argentina's bustling train stations. He finds himself drawn to her plight and is determined to help her escape this cruel existence. However, rescuing her proves more challenging than expected, as he must confront and challenge the ruthless adult gang leaders and also navigate the complex relationships with the younger children who believe they have no alternative but to follow the Mafia's lead. This powerful story is inspired by a real-life incident discovered in Argentina in the late 90s and early 2000s, bringing to light the harsh reality of child exploitation in an otherwise vibrant city.
