In this poignant drama, a couple grapples with the heartbreak of infertility and discovers an unconventional way to cope with their longing for parenthood. When faced with the devastating reality that they cannot conceive, the man searches for solace and turns to an unlikely source: a piece of root he finds in his backyard. In an attempt to bring comfort to his wife's shattered dreams, he meticulously carves and varnishes the root into the shape of a baby. To their surprise, the woman gradually embraces this makeshift child as her own, weaving it into the fabric of their lives and pretending that it is real.
