Thirty years since they fought together in the tumultuous Vietnam War, Larry, Sal, and Richard come together once more. This time, however, their mission is not one of combat but of closure: burying Doc's son, a young Marine who perished in Iraq. Steering away from a solemn burial ceremony, the trio embarks on a journey up the coast to New Hampshire, hauling the casket alongside them. As they navigate through winding roads and shared memories of their own war-torn past, these aging companions find themselves grappling with the complexities and consequences of a bygone era that still persistently echoes in their lives today.
