In the heart-wrenching drama, we follow Marco, a young man grappling with his inner turmoil and searching for solace in a world filled with suffering. As he pours his empathetic nature into poetic works, he struggles to cope with life's overwhelming pain. Consumed by existential angst and fear, Marco turns to drugs and alcohol in an attempt to reach "the forgetting" – that elusive state of unconsciousness where he can temporarily escape from himself.As fate would have it, Marco finds employment at Bambin Gesù Hospital, working for a cleaners' cooperative. Confronted with the innocence of sick children, he braces himself for his own emotional demise. Through this poignant journey, Marco must confront his personal battles and find the strength to connect with others in their shared humanity, ultimately learning that perhaps forgetting isn’t the answer after all.
