King of Devil’s Island

In 1915, nestled within the biting chill of Norwegian winter, lies Bastøy Island, home to an institution for delinquent youth notorious for its brutal regime. On this isolated island just outside Oslo, pre-teens and teenagers are confined against their will, subjected to a cruel system that breaks their spirits and stifles their potential.Amidst the desolate surroundings, a new boy named Erling arrives, his spirit unbroken and determination unwavering; he dreams of escaping from this living nightmare. However, fate intervenes when an unfortunate incident forces him to lead the other boys in a fierce uprising against their captors. In a daring display of defiance and unity, they manage to seize control of the island.But the rebellion is short-lived as 150 soldiers descend upon Bastøy, determined to restore order at any cost. With backs against the wall and hope dwindling, Erling and his fellow rebels must fight not only for their freedom but also for their lives in a gripping battle that challenges societal norms and raises questions about justice and rehabilitation for troubled youth.
