In 1965, a troubled teenager named Michael Dunn is sent to St. Basil's Catholic Boys School in Brooklyn to straighten up amidst the turbulent era of the sixties. As he navigates the strict rules and disciplinary regime of the repressive faculty, he finds solace and camaraderie among a group of misfit classmates who are just as eager to break free from their stifling surroundings. Their journey through adolescence is marked by rebellious acts, explorations of self-identity, and unexpected encounters with the opposite sex that challenge conventional norms and expectations. The film captures the essence of teenage rebellion and discovery while shedding light on the societal constraints imposed on young men at a time when change was imminent.
